Welcome to Georgia's Envirothon Competition

The Georgia Envirothon provides high school students in Georgia with hands on, science based training in natural resource and ecology topics in a challenging and competitive atmosphere. The environmental education program consists of the annual Canon Envirothon Competition in which winning teams from participating states and Canadian provinces compete for recognition and scholarships by demonstrating their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management.

North Region Competition Post...

Due to the forecasted snow for March 2, the North Region competition has been postponed until Wednesday, March 10. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The competition will begin at 9:15. Questions should be directed to Norma Rainwater.

Register Now for the 2010 Georgia Envirothon Competition

Registration is now open for the 2010 Georgia Evirothon. Early bird registration is $150 and ends December 1. After December 1, registration is $200. Registration ends January 15.

Where are they now?

Erin Oxford Clark Uses Her Envirothon...

Erin was a member of the Morgan County High School team that won the 1996 Georgia Envirothon and represented Georgia at the Canon Envirothon in Nebraska. Erin says, "The Envirothon offered me a greater understanding of our environment from so many different perspectives. I am now employed by The Clean Air Campaign and still find myself utilizing facts that I learned in my Envirothon days." The Clean Air Campaign's mission is to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion.
