Welcome to Georgia's Envirothon Competition

The Georgia Envirothon provides high school students in Georgia with hands on, science based training in natural resource and ecology topics in a challenging and competitive atmosphere. The environmental education program consists of the annual Canon Envirothon Competition in which winning teams from participating states and Canadian provinces compete for recognition and scholarships by demonstrating their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management.

Register Now for the 2012 Georgia Envirothon Competition

Registration is now open for the 2012 Georgia Evirothon. Early bird registration is $150 and ends December 1. After December 1, registration is $200. Registration ends January 15.

Charlie McKinney's Envirothon Story

Charlie participated in the Georgia Envirothon when he was in High School. Currently a student at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Charlie, a math major, credits his participation in the Georgia Envirothon with helping him to decide to also pursue a minor in biology.
